Abstract

This study explores the journeys mentioned in the Madni Surahs of the Holy Qur’an, highlighting their historical, spiritual, social, and political dimensions. The Madni Surahs refer to those revealed after the migration of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Madinah. These Surahs reflect the period of consolidation of Islamic teachings, formation of the Muslim society, and various conflicts faced by the early Muslim community. They include references to different types of journeys such as the Prophet’s military expeditions (Ghazawat), diplomatic missions, the migrations of the believers, and the travels of previous prophets. The mention of these journeys in the Madni Surahs serves to strengthen the intellectual, foundational, military, moral, political, and spiritual principles of Islam.
