Kalima Tayyaba, propagation of Islam, last prophet, disbelievers of MakkahAbstract
The life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) represents a continuous and unwavering struggle for the propagation of Islam. The central objective of this sacred mission was the establishment of the Kalima Tayyiba—the declaration of faith that forms the very foundation of Islam. The first part of the Kalima affirms the absolute oneness of Allah, the Lord of Majesty and Glory, while rejecting every form of polytheism and idolatry. The second part confirms the finality of Prophethood in the person of Muhammad ﷺ, the last and ultimate Messenger of Allah. For the sake of this divine message, the Prophet ﷺ endured severe persecution, hardships, separation, ridicule, and relentless opposition from the disbelievers of Makkah. Despite these adversities, a small group of devoted companions stood firm against overwhelming forces of falsehood to uphold and spread the truth. Among these noble efforts, the contributions of the Prophet’s noble wives (Ummahat al-Mu’minin) and the Sahabiyat (female companions) remain remarkable and unforgettable. Their dedication, courage, and steadfastness left indelible marks in the history of Islam and played a pivotal role in the dissemination of the Prophetic message.
