Abstract

This study explores the contemporary applications of waqf in light of classical juristic debates. It examines divergent opinions of the jurists on perpetuity, temporary waqf, and the permissibility of cash endowments. Modern extensions such as corporate waqf, shares, and intellectual property are analyzed within the framework of Islamic legal principles. The research highlights the adaptability of waqf to address global humanitarian, environmental, and developmental needs. It concludes that classical jurisprudence provides a dynamic foundation for innovative waqf models in the modern economy.
