Food is a Persian language word. In Feroze-ul-Ghat, it means "food and drink" and "grain of water". In the Holy Qur'an, the words kulwa and washrabuwa have come from the verb ``Aql'' and ``Sharb''. Quality is related to customer requirements. Concepts of quality in quality theory are understood differently by different people because different people have different needs and preferences. The art of quality management includes managing quality, handling quality, controlling quality and directing the degree of optimal quality provided by a product or service. The objects that man creates himself is the owner and he knows the quality of his objects better than the user, the user depends on the creator. The quality that the creator sets is final for the user. The creator of the universe, explaining the creation of food and drink in the Qur'an, gave complete guidance to the Ummah Muhammadiyah ﷺ that the creator of them is Allah and the creator of the universe is the creator of the universe. In view of the physical and mental health of human beings, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala declared the pure things in the food items as halal and permissible while the undesirable and harmful things are forbidden.
This research explores the core principles of Islamic Food Quality Management in the selection of edible items (Makulat wa Mashroobat), as derived from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The study identifies twenty-seven essential standards that guide Muslims in ensuring that food consumption remains within the boundaries of Shariah, while also promoting physical health, spiritual well-being, and social harmony. These standards encompass a holistic approach—beginning with positive thinking and trust in Allah as the sole provider of sustenance, maintaining gratitude, differentiating between halal and haram, and upholding ethical food acquisition practices. The criteria address lawful sources of food, proper slaughter methods, prohibition of harmful and impure items, and avoidance of injustice in trade. By systematically examining each standard, the paper highlights the integration of faith, ethics, and quality assurance in Islamic dietary laws, offering a comprehensive model for modern halal food governance and consumer awareness. We pray to Allah the Almighty to grant the Muhammadan Ummah ﷺ the guidance of the Qur'an to use halal food and drink. Amen.
