Abstract

The Hadiths are the second most important source of Islamic knowledge after the Holy Quran. Prophetic medicine holds a special place in the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), which provides valuable instructions on the use of various plants and nutrients. This article presents a description of the important plants mentioned in the Hadiths, their benefits, and their review in the context of modern medical research. Prophetic Medicine was gifted to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by revelation from Allah Almighty, which contains a complete code for spiritual and physical health. Adopting all these medical prescriptions and wise methods, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) treated various diseases. It is our good fortune that the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) were recorded and preserved by the Companions. In this way, these blessed hadiths were passed down from generation to generation and will remain a storehouse of knowledge and understanding for us until the coming times. No one can deny the usefulness and importance of plants because the treatment mentioned in it is based on the highest wisdom and also because they are tested. Plants are the guide of the world of humanity for countless diseases, pains, sufferings and troubles. There are such plants for the treatment of commonly occurring diseases in which prayers and medicines have been described for the treatment of physical diseases as well as spiritual diseases. No one can deny the perfections and specialties of plants and by adopting these plants, one can continue on the journey of health.
