Abstract

This study aims to explore the nature of magic by addressing the question: Is magic real or merely an illusion? For this purpose, qualitative research methods have been employed to analyze relevant texts and beliefs. The findings reveal that magic is a satanic practice used to achieve specific objectives and should not be conflated with prophetic miracles, which occur solely by the will and permission of Allah Almighty. Unlike miracles—divine acts granted to prophets—magic is condemned in Islamic teachings. This study serves to educate followers of Islam about the supremacy of religious faith, offers guidance on protecting oneself from satanic influence, and provides clarity for individuals of other faiths. This study also supports those facing psychological distress by emphasizing that ultimate power resides with Allah alone.
