Abstract

All the people of the world are like a family in the sight of Allah, the Exalted, and the best in the sight of Allah is the one who is best with this family, i.e. other human beings. Tolerance is the opposite of intolerance, meaning it is another name for patience and forbearance. The teachings of religious tolerance in Islam is a bright chapter. By studying the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Hadiths, it will be revealed that there are numerous traditions of humanity and religious tolerance, from which it will be clearly understood that the religion of Islam is a universal religion in which good treatment of humanity, service to people and their improvement is paramount. Islam basically teaches tolerance and also teaches to respect the religion of others. The main reason for the linguistic, religious and social crisis in the world today is that the different nations and tribes living in the world have changed each other's religion. The hateful attitude against the faith has been maintained even though the world is in dire need of peace and in today's troubled times dialogues between religions and civilizations are being felt as the greatest need and desire of the world. It is important here that every religion has its own language and traditions which impart basic human values to the people through which the human society moves towards improvement and these values play the role of guardians of the society. Islam accepts ideological differences, forms a policy of tolerance, respect and love, it is necessary to understand the contradictions for the formation of a good and peaceful society, only after understanding the differences, the spirit of respect for other religions and beliefs develops. It happens and in this way people of different faiths and religions can be brought closer together.
